This project delves into the inner workings of this butcher shop in Tbilisi. Here, you can not only view photographs of their routine but also read interviews that reveal the dreams of these butchers in childhood.

Through the combination of photographs and interviews, you will gain a deeper understanding of their experiences and the journey that has brought them to this point.

Quotes from the interview:

Portrait 1: “My name is Mamuta. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a thief-in-law; my parents owned a casino.”

Portrait 2: "My name is Vaso. As a child, I dreamed of becoming an athlete and a judo champion, but I followed in my father's and grandfather's footsteps – I work with meat."

Portrait 3: "My name is Robert. As a child, I dreamed of becoming an engineer, and I did, but then an accident happened. I broke my legs and couldn’t continue working in construction, so I had to become a butcher.”

Portrait 4: "My name is Tango. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a chef, but I graduated from a military academy and worked as a sniper for a long time. Eventually, I chose a calmer job for the sake of my health, and that's how I ended up here."
