This project began with animals because they are slow, calm, quiet, and never in a hurry.
I became interested in observing this state and trying to capture it. There is a kind of simplicity and honesty in their behavior that people often lack.
“Polako” in Montenegrin means “take it easy”, “don’t rush”, “no worries”. Montenegrins say it all the time and live by it themselves.
Through animals, I started looking at everything else around me: people, the sea, light, streets, and accidental moments.
It turned out that the same state can be found there too, if you simply slow down and pay closer attention. When nothing special is happening, and that is exactly where life is.
This project is about stillness and observation. About the importance of sometimes stopping and noticing simple things that usually pass us by.
